The Torrelago Community (Valladolid) is a housing community comprised of approximately 1,500 homes, making it the most important District Heating (Heat Network) in Castilla y León and one of the largest in Spain.

Data acquisition was initially installed by an external company. During the first quarter of 2020, our Gestio Home platform was installed to serve both users and property managers for billing energy consumption for nearly 1,500 meters, divided into two substations and 11 data reception units.

At Usanca Metering, we programmed an ad-hoc code for connection via sockets through a client VPN to obtain data from pre-installed equipment, leveraging the entire infrastructure and saving unnecessary costs.

Furthermore, a complete review of the consumption bill was carried out to adapt to the needs of the community, in addition to several important changes to the platform, including custom functionalities.

The result has been completely satisfactory: Billing by administrators with functionalities such as automatic sending of receipts via email, represents a saving of more than 90% of the administrative time dedicated to issuing receipts. And the client has a web portal and an APP on Android and iOS to corroborate all the information and data of the energy consumption of their home.
